That’s why NALMCO was the first organization in the lighting industry to create nationally recognized professional lighting management certifications. The certifications identify you as a leader within the industry and prove to customers that you’re the most qualified to do the job. NALMCO’s four certifications were written by the industry’s most knowledgeable lighting professionals. Each exam focuses on information and skills that are directly related to the work you perform every day.
Technical CertificationsCertified Apprentice Lighting Technician™ (CALT™): $225 per person Non-Members | $165 per person Members. Professional CertificationsCertified Lighting Controls Professional™ (CLCP™): $225 per person Non-Members | $200 per person Members. Certification RenewalsAll certification renewals begin on January 1 and end on December 31. The renewal cycle is January 1 of the year immediately following the completion of your certification. You will receive one hour of credit for the actual clock time. Partial hours qualify. Notification will be sent electronically and by mail when it’s time to certify. CALT AND CSLT - Renewed every three years. Requires 9 hours CE. CLMC - Renewed every three years. Requires 40 hours CE. CLCP - Renewed every three years. Requires 24 hours CE. Enroll in a Certification ProgramComplete the RequirementsOnce candidates have enrolled in a program and paid the certification fee, they will receive a confirmation email with links to online study materials and a secure URL to take their exam online. Please note that NALMCO uses a third-party testing company to administer our exams so allow 24-48 hours for your exam to be set up in the testing center. An email will be sent once your exam is ready to access.
Complete the programFor all exams, candidates must score a 70% or higher. Upon passing the exam, a certification of completion will be emailed to the email on file. All certifications must be renewed every three years. Continuing education credits can be recorded in the designee's profile under CEU Tracking. |
