California Non-Residential Lighting Technician School 149
In 2007, the State of California Department of Industrial Relations Division of Apprenticeship Standards identified that the interNational Association of Lighting Management Companies (NALMCO) is a recognized school with approved curriculum for a Non-Residential Lighting Technician supplemental on-the-job training program. The course includes the apprentice 'Lighten Up' Workbook and senior 'Illumination' Workbook required to enroll in NALMCO School #149. Technicians must enroll as individuals in the program and have one year from enrollment to pass both the Certified Apprentice Lighting Technician (CALT) and the Certified Senior Lighting Technician (CSLT) exams to have successfully completed NALMCO's course. If a technician does not achieve the CSLT designation, then they can reenroll if necessary.
